Baseball Recap: Grand Saline Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Grand Saline barely beat Quitman the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Bulldogs on Friday. Considering the Indians have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Grand Saline has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Quitman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17-1.

Looking ahead, Grand Saline will take on Brownsboro at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Quitman, they will square off against Edgewood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Edgewood will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Quitman surely won't give up without a fight.
