Softball Recap: Garey Comes Up Short

If Garey was feeling good fresh off their 16-4 takedown of Baldwin Park on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings lost 11-1 to the Duarte Falcons on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 on April 8th.

Garey saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tatiana Navarro, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Garey has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Duarte, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Garey will face off against rival Nogales at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Duarte is set to take on their familiar foe Azusa at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
