Elkmont had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 65-30 victory over the Lindsay Lane Christian Academy Lions. The win continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won six in a row.

Leading Elkmont to victory were Nyla Parker and McKenzie Doner. Parker dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 boards, while Doner posted 11 points and five steals. Doner is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mollie Slaton, who had nine points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lindsay Lane Christian Academy fell to 2-1.

Elkmont has already played their next contest, a 46-38 defeat against Clements on the 14th. As for Lindsay Lane Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 38-28 victory against Shoals Christian on the 14th.
