Summerville put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Aynor Blue Jackets a 1-0 shutout. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Green Wave have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Summerville pushed their record up to 18-0 with the victory, which was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Aynor, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summerville will head out to face off against South Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Aynor, they will venture away from home to square off against West Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Jackets 0.8, the Knights 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
