Volleyball Game Preview: Mesa Jackrabbits vs. O'Connor Eagles

Mesa hasn't had much luck against O'Connor recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jackrabbits will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Mesa came up short against Westwood and fell 3-1.

Mesa started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-13, 25-22, 25-19.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for O'Connor, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Desert Vista on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Thunder: they've now won seven in a row.

One reason for the win was O'Connor's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-22, 25-18.

O'Connor's win bumped their record up to 16-8-1. As for Mesa, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
