Chelsea came tearing into Thursday's contest with 15 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points), and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Hueytown Golden Gophers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 63-34. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Golden Gophers are ranked 127th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Hueytown still got an impressive performance from Na'Kyrie Tolbert, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of AlyssA Bunkley, who had four points along with five boards and three steals.

Chelsea's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 26-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.4 points over those games. As for Hueytown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-18.

As of now, neither Chelsea nor Hueytown have any future games scheduled.
