Soccer Recap: Independence's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Benton on Thursday, Independence came back down to earth. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Notre Dame de Sion Storm on Friday. The loss was Independence's first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Independence fell to 3-1-1. As for Notre Dame de Sion, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Independence has already played their next matchup, a 5-0 win against Decorah-North Winneshiek on the 14th. As for Notre Dame de Sion, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Christ Prep Academy on the 15th.
