Baseball Recap: Braddock Extends Winning Streak to Four

Braddock came tearing into Tuesday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Sylvan Hills Bears. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Miguel Diaz tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Braddock got a massive performance out of Marcelo Torres, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Manny Sanchez was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Braddock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .621. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .621 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Braddock's record now sits at 14-3-1. As for Sylvan Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Braddock will head out to square off against Forreston at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Sylvan Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beebe at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
