Basketball Game Preview: Ontario Warriors vs. Fredericktown Freddies

The Ontario Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Fredericktown Freddies at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Saturday, Ontario had to suffer through a 58-31 loss at the hands of Clear Fork. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Colts recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Fredericktown was able to grind out a solid win over East Knox on Saturday, taking the game 51-41. Given the Freddies' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 394th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ontario's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Fredericktown, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Ontario didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Fredericktown when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 52-48 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ontario since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
