Baseball Recap: San Clemente Continues Road Dominance on Friday

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but San Clemente ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the El Toro Chargers 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Tritons in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won seven in a row.

San Clemente saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Cerone, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

San Clemente pushed their record up to 18-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for El Toro, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-14.
