League recap: Lake Howell stuns Oak Ridge in upset

7A District 3 recap Oct. 9, 2012

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Oak Ridge, who took down 108th ranked Oak Ridge, 28-21.

Lake Howell moved up to 279 from 333 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 7A District 3. The Silver Hawks were able to make the jump by beating the Pioneers 28-21.

Edgewater's JB Woodman and Tim Miller have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Woodman has thrown for 658 yards this season, while Miller, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 18 catches for 252 yards. Jurell Green from Oviedo leads the league in rushing with 870 yards.

Lake Howell led the league in scoring this week after putting up 28 points on Oak Ridge.
