The game was Carter's sixth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Angel Ruiz, who shot 58% from the field on his way to 21 points.

Crismon's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for La Joya Community, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for La Joya Community against Crismon when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 55-26 win. In that contest, the Fighting Lobos amassed a halftime lead of 36-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
