Baseball Game Preview: GMG Wolverines vs. Baxter

GMG and Baxter are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Wolverines will square off against Baxter at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. GMG is looking for their season's first victory.

GMG blew Colo-NESCO out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Colo-NESCO got their revenge. The Wolverines fell just short of the Royals by a score of 11-9. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked the Wolverines' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Meanwhile, Baxter posted their closest win since May 24, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged out BCLUW 8-7. The victory continues a trend for Baxter in their matchups with BCLUW: they've now won five in a row.

GMG's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Baxter, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

GMG couldn't quite get it done against Baxter in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 11-6. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
