Mt. Zion won the last time they faced Mattoon and things went their way on Thursday too. The Braves walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Greenwave.

While Mt. Zion won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-23.

Angela McCoy paced Mt. Zion's offense, picking up eight kills. McCoy got some help from Kendall Smith and her 11 assists.

Mt. Zion's record is now 15-11. As for Mattoon, they now have a losing record of 15-16.
