Softball Recap: Palestine-Wheatley Continues Home Dominance on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against McCrory, Palestine-Wheatley was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Nettleton Raiders 10-3. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.

Palestine-Wheatley's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Nettleton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Palestine-Wheatley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against East Poinsett County on the 22nd. As for Nettleton, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Searcy at 4:30 p.m. on April 1. Nettleton is facing Searcy at the right time seeing as Searcy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
