Softball Recap: Ontario Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Ontario waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Marion Harding Presidents by a score of 5-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 on Tuesday.

Morgan Pearson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Pearson wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ellie Dawson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Ontario kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.

Ontario's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Marion Harding, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ontario will head out to challenge Hillsdale at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Falcons have now posted at least ten runs in their last five contests. As for Marion Harding, they will face off against Bishop Hartley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
