Softball Recap: Valwood Valiants vs. Brookwood Warriors        
        
		
             After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Citizens Christian Academy, Valwood was happy to have turned things around  on Monday. They came out on top against the Brookwood Warriors by a score of  12-9. For the Valiants, this counts as revenge for the   10-9 loss the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in September.
  Hali Thomas made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching three innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   two  hits. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  hits. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and five  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Annasten Creech was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  hits.  Abi Brooks was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-5.
 Valwood's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Brookwood, they dropped their record down to 9-7 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Valwood will stay at home for another  game and welcome Terrell Academy at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Terrell Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4  runs per game  this season. As for Brookwood, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Tiftarea Academy at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
