Softball Recap: Temecula Prep Extends Winning Streak to Four

Temecula Prep waltzed into their game on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Desert Christian Academy Conquerors with a sharp 21-11 victory. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Conquerors back in April, they had to take a 17-6 loss.

Temecula Prep got a massive performance out of Vanessa Fregoso, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Fregoso has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Zoe Strand was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Temecula Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .737. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .649 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Temecula Prep's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-16. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.0 runs over those games. As for Desert Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

As of now, neither Temecula Prep nor the Conquerors have any future games scheduled.
