Basketball Recap: Collinsville Comes Up Short

Collinsville was the 45-42 winner over Tioga when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Collinsville Pirates opened the new year with a less-than-successful 46-36 loss to the Tioga Bulldogs. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Collinsville's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Tioga, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 7-9.

Collinsville will square off against Alvord at 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tioga, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Muenster at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
