Recap: Simon Kenton vs. Boone County

Simon Kenton won the last time they met up with Boone County, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Simon Kenton took their match against Boone County on Saturday by a conclusive 39-7 score. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Simon Kenton had established a 36-7 advantage.

Junior Austin Hammack, who rushed for 128 yards and 1 touchdown, was a major factor in Simon Kenton's success. Senior Jon Sergent was in the mix, too, providing Simon Kenton with 2 touchdowns.

Next week Simon Kenton take on Campbell County at Campbell County High School at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous games. As for Boone County, they will face off against Cooper. Neither Boone County nor Cooper could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.
