Volleyball Recap: Fremont Firebirds vs. Los Altos Eagles
Fremont suffered their biggest loss since April 24, 2024 on Wednesday. They came up short against the Los Altos Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.
While Fremont was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 25-20.
Eli Geddes paced Fremont's offense, picking up 11 kills. Geddes got some help from Neebir Natarjan and his 13 assists. Finally, Subhan Kunwar kept Fremont's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
Fremont has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Los Altos, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-4.
