Volleyball Recap: Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy Takes a Loss

Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy was the 3-1 winner over Trinity Prep when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Crusaders on Thursday.

Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chloe Sanchez, who had six digs and three aces. That's the most digs Sanchez has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Michele Nolasco, who had 11 digs.

Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 14-4. As for Trinity Prep, they pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Pleasant Hill Adventist Academy and San Francisco Waldorf will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Trinity Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Rio Lindo Adventist on the 23rd.
