Baseball Game Preview: Reagan Raiders vs. Hough Huskies

Reagan is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Hough is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Raiders will host the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Reagan 2.6, Hough 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Reagan's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past East Forsyth 1-0. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Hough played against Harding University on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

Hough is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Reagan, their victory bumped their record up to 16-4.

Reagan beat Hough 7-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2018. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Huskies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
