Baseball Recap: Murphy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cherokee last Wednesday, Murphy came back down to earth. The Murphy Bulldogs came up short against the Towns County Indians on Thursday, falling 11-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Murphy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Towns County, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Murphy will host Swain County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Towns County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington-Wilkes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
