Football Preview: Millard Eagles vs. Duchesne Eagles        
        
		
            Millard will venture away from home to  face off against Duchesne  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Friday,  everything came up roses for Millard against North Sevier as the  team secured  a  42-7 win. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
Meanwhile, Duchesne was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Gunnison Valley 55-8. Considering the Eagles have won four matchups by more than 33  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
Millard better keep an eye on  Kasen Crum. He was instrumental in Duchesne's win, rushing for 75 yards and four  scores on only seven carries. Crum also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble, making eight total tackles,  and defending one pass in addition to snagging  an  interception.  Nashden Goodliffe was another major influence, as he rushed for 89 yards and ran in a TD.
 Duchesne was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 264  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 154  rushing yards in eight consecutive  contests  dating back to last season.
 Duchesne didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Wyatt Christenson and  Crum. Crum is also on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's  now  punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's  played.
 Duchesne's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Millard, they now  have a winning record of 4-3.
 Millard took a serious blow against Duchesne  in their previous meeting  back in October of 2024, falling  45-7. That  game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Millard was down  21-0.
