Basketball Recap: East Lake's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

East Lake had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Bishop McLaughlin Catholic Hurricanes by a score of 36-26 on Monday.

East Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Savanna Wall led the charge by putting up 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yara Salib, who posted eight points.

Several Hurricanes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marley Weaver, who put up 12 points and four steals. That was a full 46.2% of Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Claire Sullivan was another key player, scoring four points and six rebounds.
