Clarksburg extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Monday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 75-69 heartbreaker at the hands of the Paint Branch Panthers. On the bright side, the 69- point performance marked the Coyotes' highest-scoring game to date.

When it comes to explaining why Clarksburg lost, don't look at Zion Carrie. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards. Carrie is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rahul Sanon, who posted 13 points and five boards.

As for Paint Branch, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 78.3 points this season.

Paint Branch's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Issac Derege, who had 15 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Makhi Martin, who earned 11 points and three steals.

Clarksburg will take on Watkins Mill in a holiday battle at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup will give the Coyotes their first taste of in-conference action this season. Paint Branch and Springbrook will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
