It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Windthorst had no problem doing just that on Friday. They claimed a resounding 55-14 victory over the Clarendon Broncos. Considering the Trojans have won seven games by more than 37 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brock Belcher was his usual excellent self, throwing for 308 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 15.4 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 107 yards and one TD on only seven carries. Windthorst is undefeated when Belcher posts 250 or more passing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. The Trojans also got a significant boost from Hunter Anderle, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 145 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Windthorst was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 252 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clarendon only rushed for 107.

Despite the loss, Clarendon still got an impressive performance from Parker Haynes, who threw for 286 yards and six touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also rushed for 107 yards and one score on only seven carries.
