Football Game Preview: Clearwater Tornadoes vs. Countryside Cougars + How To Watch

Clearwater has gone 8-1 against Countryside recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tornadoes will look to defend their home field against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Countryside took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Clearwater, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Clearwater took their game with ease, bagging a 48-10 win over East Lake. The Tornadoes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 38 points or more this season.

Jaylen White produced another solid effort rushing for 165 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 115 yards and one TD. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Sincere McClinton was another key player, rushing for 178 yards and one score while picking up 8.9 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, Countryside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Osceola and fell 36-7. Despite 62 more yards than the Warriors, the Cougars couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Clearwater is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.4 points over those games. As for Countryside, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
