Lincoln lost to Fremont back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Lions walked away with a 12-9 victory over the Firebirds. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Lincoln let Jocelynn Perez and Jocelyn Hernandez run wild. Perez got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Hernandez went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That stolen base was Perez's first of the season. Olivia Diaz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Fremont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Lincoln is taking a road trip to square off against Live Oak at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fremont, they will be playing at home against Santa Clara at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
