Basketball Recap: Beau Suman Key Part of Team Effort in Huskies Win

Battle Mountain was handed a 39-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Cedaredge Bruins 50-48. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2018.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Battle Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Beau Suman, who posted 17 points. Charlie Strauch was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Cedaredge's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Rylan Brooks, who scored 16 points, and Brady Cooper, who had 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Scott, who put up six points.

Battle Mountain's record now sits at 6-14. As for Cedaredge, they dropped their record down to 5-14 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Battle Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cedaredge, they will venture away from home to face off against Plateau Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Plateau Valley will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something Cedaredge surely won't give up without a fight.
