Baseball Recap: Lower Cape May Takes a Loss

Lower Cape May was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 11-6 to the Oakcrest Falcons. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Sean Kelleher was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Milligan, who earned one RBI and two stolen bases.

Lower Cape May's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Oakcrest, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9.

While Lower Cape May had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
