Everything went their way against Lookout Valley as Marion County made off with a 15-0 win. The Warriors have beaten the Yellowjackets the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Yellowjackets has come to flipping the script.
Luke Tipton and Eli Yell made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Tipton pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Yell tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had over his last five games. At the plate, Tipton went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Yell scored a run while going 1-for-3. Those three RBI gave Tipton a new career-high.

In other batting news, Marion County got a massive performance out of Zade Pemberton, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. Those three stolen bases gave Pemberton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eli Blevins, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Marion County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Bledsoe County lost 15-2 to Stone Memorial on Thursday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Marion County's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bledsoe County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
