Softball Recap: Oberlin Comes Up Short

Oberlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 21-2 to the Hackberry Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Fightin Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Oberlin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Hackberry, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Oberlin will welcome Elton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.37 runs per game on average), something the Fightin Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. Hackberry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
