Basketball Recap: Williams Vikings vs. Mogollon Mustangs
It was a good run, but Williams unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Mogollon Mustangs by a score of 53-51. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 53-49.

Williams lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mario Pedraza, who posted 19 points and five boards. Pedraza's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Quinn Tenney had a dynamite game for Mogollon, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Gavin Owens was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 12 points along with six boards and three blocks.
Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Mogollon, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-12.
Williams has already played their next contest, a 64-51 victory against Rock Point on the 1st. As for Mogollon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 41-35 win against St. David on the 30th.
