Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tonopah). They put the hurt on the Mountain View Christian Saints with a sharp 22-8 win on Friday. The Muckers haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Alyssa Maurer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over six innings while giving up eight earned runs off seven hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tiffany Snyder, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Jacy Kiersch was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Tonopah was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Tonopah pushed their record up to 3-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tonopah beat Mountain View Christian by a score of 22-10 later that day.
