            Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia extended their losing streak  to four  on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 1-15 in the process. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Astoria/VIT Rebels. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in May of 2024.
 Razon Vega was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out 11 batters over  5.2 innings while giving up  four earned runs off only  two  hits. What's more,  he gave up only four  walks, the fewest he's  had since back in April.
 At the plate,  Brock York and  Grant Fricke stepped up to the plate in a big way.  York  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double, while  Fricke  went 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases and one  run. York also put up an  RBI, which was his first of the season.  Ian Stock was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  double.
As for Astoria/VIT, their victory  ended  a  16-game drought on the road  dating back to last season and  puts them at 2-17. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win they have posted  since March 23, 2024.
 On Astoria/VIT's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Westin Chenoweth, who  went 1-for-2 with one  home run, three  stolen bases,  and two  runs. Those  three  stolen bases gave  Chenoweth a new career-high.
 Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Astoria/VIT, they will venture away from home to  challenge Cuba/Spoon River Valley  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
