Preview: Graham Red Devils vs. Southeast Alamance Stallions

The Graham Red Devils will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Southeast Alamance Stallions at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Graham's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of North Moore by a score of 55-53.

Meanwhile, Southeast Alamance ended up a good deal behind Seaforth on Friday and lost 54-39. While losing is never fun, Southeast Alamance can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Seaforth is ranked 17th).

Despite the loss, Southeast Alamance saw an underclassman step up: Shaniya Paylor scored 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Clara LaChapelle, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.

Graham has not been sharp recently as the team has lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Southeast Alamance, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.

Graham took a serious blow against Southeast Alamance when the teams last played back in January, falling 59-17. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Paylor, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Now that Graham knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
