Softball Game Preview: Winchester Community Golden Falcons vs. Randolph Southern Rebels

The Winchester Community Golden Falcons will be taking part in a tournament against the Randolph Southern Rebels at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Winchester Community is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

Winchester Community will bounce into Saturday's match after beating Wapahani, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Golden Falcons put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 13-3 win on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Golden Falcons needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Winchester Community got a massive performance out of Aviana Ramos, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. That's the most runs Ramos has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Allie Campbell, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Winchester Community kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Randolph Southern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-0 to Wapahani, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Randolph Southern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Winchester Community, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-5 record.

Everything went Winchester Community's way against Randolph Southern when the teams last played back in April, as Winchester Community made off with a 22-2 win. Do the Golden Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
