Soccer Recap: Tranquillity Comes Up Short

Tranquillity lost against Mendota on January 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tranquillity Tigers lost 8-1 to the Mendota Aztecs. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 795th, while the Aztecs are ranked 140th).

Tranquillity's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Mendota, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3-3 record this season.

Tranquillity will be playing in front of their home fans against Laton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tranquillity is facing Laton at the right time seeing as Laton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mendota, they will head out to take on Dos Palos at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
