Volleyball Recap: Chloe Plant's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Girard over Ursuline + How To Watch

Girard was the 3-0 winner over Ursuline when they last played one another back in September of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians lost 3-0 to the Fighting Irish on Monday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Girard was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-18.

Girard's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chloe Plant, who had 20 assists. Plant has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 12 times she's played.

Ursuline was led to victory by Jess Hass and Reagan Sambroak. Hass had seven digs and one assist, while Sambroak had ten assists and two aces.

Girard's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Ursuline, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Girard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Hubbard on the 30th. As for Ursuline, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Heartland Christian on the 30th.
