Basketball Recap: Big Spring Takes a Loss

If Big Spring was feeling good fresh off their 57-21 takedown of Santo on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Big Spring Steers lost 63-40 to the Lampasas Badgers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Steers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1064th, while the Badgers are ranked 433rd).

Big Spring has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Lampasas, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Big Spring will venture away from home to challenge Seminole at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lampasas, they will face off against Gateway College Preparatory at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lampasas' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
