Union Springs entered their tilt with Tioga on Monday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Tigers. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Jack Walters made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anthony DeAngelis, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Aaron Johnson was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Union Springs pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Tioga, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
