Basketball Recap: Grand Lake Comes Up Short

Grand Lake lost against Oberlin back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Grand Lake Hornets were dealt a 71-42 loss at the hands of the Oberlin Tigers.

Grand Lake has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. As for Oberlin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-14.

Grand Lake and Oberlin should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Grand Lake (ranked 135th) will meet Elton (ranked 328th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Oberlin will take on Basile at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 161 places (78 vs. 239).
