Baseball Recap: Rocklin Extends Winning Streak to Five

Rocklin waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Del Oro Golden Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thunder also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Rocklin got a great performance from Joey Lorenzini as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Brown, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nick Coleman, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Rocklin pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Del Oro, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Rocklin beat Del Oro by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday.
