Baseball Recap: Weaver Comes Up Short

Weaver was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Pleasant Valley Raiders, falling 12-2. That's two games in a row now that the Bearcats have lost by exactly ten runs.

Weaver saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Free, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Weaver's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Pleasant Valley, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Bearcats take on the Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pleasant Valley, they will venture away from home to take on Ohatchee at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
