Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Michael Miller and Isaac Lawrence Lead Midstate Homeschool to Victory

The third road game was the charm for Midstate Homeschool, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They enjoyed a cozy 69-53 win over the Psalms Christian Academy Ambassadors on Saturday. The Storm haven't had any issues with the Ambassadors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Leading Midstate Homeschool to victory were Isaac Lawrence and Michael Miller. Lawrence almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine assists, while Miller went 10-for-25 on his way to 29 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Lawrence also grabbed eight steals, which is notable because the Storm are 2-1 when he posts at least five steals, but 1-6 otherwise. Joshua Lonsberry was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 13 points and nine boards.

Midstate Homeschool smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive matchups.

Midstate Homeschool's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Psalms Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Midstate Homeschool will head out on the road to take on Christian Academy of Louisiana at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Psalms Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Area HomeSchool Sports at 6:00 p.m. on December 12.
