Basketball Recap: Bingham Miners vs. Herriman Mustangs
After losing to Herriman the last time they met, Bingham decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bingham Miners simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Herriman Mustangs 54-18. Given the Miners' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Mustangs are ranked 78th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bingham had a senior duo take command as Addy Horsley posted 17 points in addition to six boards and four steals and Iman Finau had six points along with eight steals and six rebounds. Finau is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Raylynn Richardson, who scored five points and three steals.
Bingham was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Herriman only racked up two assists.
When it comes to explaining why Herriman lost, don't look at Maddi Little. Despite the final result, she put up six points.
