Soccer Game Preview: Bandys vs. Newton-Conover

Bandys has won six straight games at home, while Newton-Conover has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Trojans will welcome the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bandys proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Maiden 2-1. Bandys haven't had any issues with Maiden recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Newton-Conover got the win against Lincolnton on Friday by a conclusive 5-1. Considering Newton-Conover have won ten games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Lincolnton with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Naia Lawing (2), Caitlin McElhone, Stella Phillips, and Kylie Shannon.

Bandys' victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Newton-Conover, their win bumped their record up to 14-5-3.
