Soccer Recap: Cholla Comes Up Short

Cholla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vista Grande Spartans. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Chargers couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Alejandra Hines-Elenes, which was the first she's scored this season.

Cholla's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Vista Grande, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cholla will take on Sahuarita at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vista Grande, they will challenge Canyon del Oro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
